A Practice Built Around
Careful Formation Work

Globex Consulting was established to bring a measured and precise approach to business formation in Thailand — work that benefits from thoughtful handling rather than a transactional one.

Who We Are

Globex Consulting is a Bangkok-based practice that assists individuals, founders, and overseas investors with the formal steps of establishing a business in Thailand. The name takes its reference from the measured, ascending form of a chedi — a structure that rises in deliberate stages. That image describes how we think about the formation process: each step has its proper sequence and cannot be hurried without consequence.

The practice was formed by advisers with backgrounds in Thai commercial law, corporate secretarial work, and cross-border structuring. The team has seen the range of mistakes that arise when founders proceed without adequate guidance — name reservations that fail on technicalities, articles that restrict the company's actual activities, shareholder arrangements that become contentious within a year of formation.

Our role is to reduce those difficulties before they arise. We take the time to understand what a client is building, then prepare the right documents for that purpose.

Our Approach

We work on a clearly scoped engagement basis. At the outset, we provide a written outline of what the engagement covers, what documents will be produced, and what the client will need to provide. There are no vague retainer arrangements and no accumulating charges for minor correspondence.

All work is conducted in English. Clients are not expected to have prior knowledge of Thai commercial law — that knowledge is our responsibility, not theirs. When technical steps arise, we explain them before proceeding.

For engagements that involve foreign participation or holding structures, we coordinate with overseas counsel where that is useful, and we produce a written explanatory memorandum at the conclusion so the client has a document that describes how their structure operates.

Professional Standards

The protocols and practices that govern how we prepare and deliver formation work.

Thai Commercial Law Compliance

All formation documents are prepared in accordance with the Civil and Commercial Code, the Foreign Business Act, and current DBD procedural requirements.

Document Review Protocol

Every founding document goes through a two-stage internal review before submission. Name, objects, share structure, and director provisions are each verified separately.

Client Data Protection

Client documents and personal data are held in encrypted storage. Access is limited to the working team. Documents are retained only for the period necessary under Thai regulatory requirements.

Engagement Transparency

Each engagement begins with a written scope document. Fee structures are fixed, not time-based. Clients know at the outset what is covered and what is not.

Bilingual Documentation

Thai-language statutory documents are accompanied by English-language summaries. International clients are not asked to rely solely on documents in a language they do not read.

Overseas Counsel Coordination

For engagements involving foreign shareholders or holding structures, we maintain working relationships with counsel in relevant overseas jurisdictions and coordinate directly on cross-border points.

Business Formation Advisory in Bangkok

Thailand's company registration framework is administered by the Department of Business Development under the Ministry of Commerce. The process is defined by statute, but the practical pathway — from name reservation through founding meeting to certificate issuance — involves a sequence of formal steps that benefit from careful preparation and advance planning.

Globex Consulting works with individuals setting up a sole proprietorship, founders forming a private limited company, and international investors establishing Thai entities with foreign participation. Each engagement type requires different documentation, different timelines, and different considerations around ownership structure and regulatory scope.

The practice is located in Lumphini, in the Pathum Wan district of Bangkok — close to the commercial and administrative centre of the city. Clients based outside Thailand are accommodated through remote consultation, with document execution handled in accordance with applicable requirements for overseas signatories.

Our advisory work extends to post-formation matters including notes on VAT registration, corporate bank account procedures, and initial compliance filings — so clients understand what follows registration and are not left to discover these steps on their own.
